Venufi ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data when you use our venue marketplace platform.

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following personal data:

  • Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google.
  • Provider Information: If you list a venue, we collect your company name and phone number (optional).
  • Inquiry Information: When you send an inquiry to a venue, we collect your name, email, event details, and message.
  • Venue Images: Images you upload for your venue listings.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide and maintain our venue marketplace service
  • Enable communication between venue seekers and providers
  • Send you notifications about your inquiries and listings
  • Improve our services and user experience

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted storage and follows industry-standard security practices. Data is stored in the European Union.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You can update your personal information in your account settings.
  • Right to Erasure: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can download your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to Object: You can object to certain processing of your data.

To exercise these rights, visit your Dashboard and use the "Download My Data" or "Delete Account" options, or contact us directly.

6. Data Sharing & Processors

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your data in the following circumstances:

  • With Venue Providers: When you send an inquiry, your contact information is shared with the venue provider so they can respond.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.

Data Processors (with DPAs)

We use the following third-party services to process your data:

  • Supabase Inc. - Database, authentication, and file storage (EU region). Data Processing Agreement in place.
  • Google LLC - OAuth authentication. Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
  • Vercel Inc. - Website hosting. Standard Contractual Clauses apply.

All processors are bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as required by GDPR Article 28.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
